Celebrity Couple Kyla + Jako consists of Queen Kyla Vera (the grammy award winning violinist for Metalachi) and Jakovich (the guitarist/vocalist for San Diego based, world punk band QUEL BORDEL!).
Queen Kyla Vera is the grammy award winning violinist for Metalachi: the world’s first and only mariachi tribute to heavy metal. The band tours constantly and headlines venues all across North American. Likewise they have been featured on many festivals and other notable appearances IE Burt Kreishner’s Netflix Special, Mega Cruise, Monsters of Rock, Tony Hawk’s private parties, and MORE!
Jake Skolnick (AKA Jakovich) is the guitarist/vocalist for San Diego based, world punk band QUEL BORDEL! (QB!). He also founded folkpunk record label Mannequin Vanity Records in 2013 and has been a powerhouse in the international folk/punk/work scene touring the US, Europe and Canada regularly. Jake/Jako plays resident bar gigs in a Me First & The Gimme Gimmes style folkpunk cover project called Kick-Stomp Ensemble. He also plays mandolin in the international supergroup BandàBordel which is a 9+ piece supergroup combining QB! and also French band BandàpArt and a variety of other collaborations with artists on and off his record label including a gypsy jazz original project called Jacquou Jazz and a collaboration with Metalachi violinist Kyla Vera (Kyla + Jako).
